More information

What's Included

A precise colour service designed for soft lift, refined tone and easy maintenance.

  • Personal consultation to agree brightness, tone and placement.
  • Half head highlight placement through the parting, crown and face frame for visible lift.
  • Choice of fine babylights or classic weaves to suit your desired contrast.
  • Semi-permanent gloss to refine tone, blend highlights and add lasting shine.
  • Gentle blending at the root for a softer grow-out.
  • Aftercare guidance and a clear plan for your next visit.

Who It's For

Ideal if you want brighter, face-framing lightness without committing to a full head. Suits clients who prefer natural-looking dimension and a softer regrowth line.

Great for maintaining blondes between larger colour services, adding caramel ribbons to brunettes, or subtly blending early greys. Also fitting for busy diaries that value maximum impact with minimal time in the chair.

Duration & Appointment Timing

Allow 60 minutes. This covers consultation, highlight placement, processing and a custom gloss. Your hair length, thickness and starting shade can influence processing time; if more time is needed, your stylist will advise.

Typical refresh: highlights every 8–12 weeks, with a gloss top-up at 4–6 weeks if you like the tone maintained between visits. We will tailor this to your routine.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Use sulphate-free, colour-safe shampoo and conditioner. Rinse in lukewarm water, limit washing to preserve tone, and always apply heat protectant before styling.

Blonde tones can be maintained with a purple or blue shampoo used sparingly to avoid dullness. Add a weekly hydrating mask on mid-lengths and ends to keep brightness and softness.

Protect hair from sun and chlorine; wet hair and apply a leave-in conditioner before swimming, and cleanse with a gentle clarifying shampoo after pool days. Rebook to keep your colour consistent and your grow-out soft.

Frequently Asked Questions

What results should I expect from Highlights & Semi - Half Head?
Targeted brightness through the top, parting and face frame with a seamless blend. A custom semi-permanent gloss refines tone and adds long-lasting shine for a polished finish.
What is the difference between half head and full head highlights?
Half head focuses on the top, parting and front to brighten what you see day to day. Full head includes the underneath for maximum coverage and contrast, useful if you wear your hair up often or want a lighter overall look.
Will this service blend or cover greys?
Highlights diffuse and soften greys rather than fully covering them. The semi-permanent gloss reduces contrast for a more uniform tone. For complete coverage, a root tint can be added within a tailored colour plan.
How long will the colour and gloss last?
Highlights are permanent until cut out, with regrowth typically showing at 6–10 weeks. The gloss lasts around 4–6 weeks before gently fading. Many clients refresh the gloss between highlight visits.
Is it suitable for dark or previously coloured hair?
Yes, but lift depends on your starting shade and hair history. We evaluate condition and prior colour to set realistic expectations. Bigger lightening goals may need a staged approach for hair health.
