If your balayage leans blonde, use a purple or blue shampoo once a week to control brass. More than that and the colour can look dull rather than bright. Heat is the biggest cause of fade, so apply a heat protectant every single time you blow-dry or use irons, and work on a lower setting in sections so you need fewer passes.
